What's the big deal about Young Living

Do You Have a Surprise Talent?

You may or may not know this, but I have many talents that I bet would surprise you. I don't like to brag, but I can nurse a baby, make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and quiz a kid on math facts all at the same time.

I know. It's a gift is what it is.

I can also do a flip on the trampoline. Never you mind the collateral damage and the public humiliation inflicted on me the last time I did one. The fact is that I'm a mother of 8 well into her forties and I can do an acrobatic feat that defies gravity! Be impressed!

Now, that's not nearly as impressive as this lady who can fit her entire body into a tennis racquet frame! (Is anyone else wondering what possessed her to try it? "Well, since I don't have anything else to do today, I guess I'll see if I can squeeze myself in here. HEY! Whaddya know? It worked!")

Another surprise you might not know about is what came in my mail last week.

SURPRISE! Green Giant is now making new veggie snack chips!

We got to sample the zesty cheddar flavor roasted vegetable chips and the multi-grain sweet potato chips. (My favorite was the sweet potato chips, but my kids like the roasted vegetable chips best.)

And I have a confession to make. That photo in my pantry was staged. Do you know why? Because as soon as I opened the box with the bags of chips in it, my kids swarmed around me and there was a veritable whirlwind of reaching hands and smacking lips. The chip crumbs were flying like the debris from a wood chipper. (Are my kids the only ones who are determined never to let there lips touch the chips? I'm telling you, crumbs FLY!)

So, by the time I got my camera out, this is what was left of the chips.

Needless to say, all of us loved them.

And I think I'll be looking for them the next time I go grocery shopping.

  1. My grandma made my grandpa (who is well over six feet tall) a Green Giant costume years ago. We have a picture of him in it somewhere 😀

  2. I thought we were going to get to see a video of you doing a flip! Since it wasn’t so, I checked out the woman and the tennis racquet frame. Thank you for the “wake-up” entertainment for me this morning! =)

  3. hahahaha! Love it! Thanks for the hilarious post, but I just want you to know, though I’m hugely impressed by your trampoline talent, I’m bitterly disappointed it wasn’t captured on video. 😉

  4. Kudos on the flip! I like to do them on the bouncy castle at a toddler group we go to. And I usually don’t stop doing them until I’m VERY pregnant! But this is a cautionary tale. From now on, I will only wear strong trousers and smart underwear to toddler group! :-)

  5. Great pictures on the empty bag of chips and the verbiage. Had to chuckle over the empty bag and the chip crumbs. Lately my 15 year olds appetite has woken up. He comes home from school and I swear he eats snacks for an hour straight. I try to cut up some fruit for him, but it isn’t enough and he just keeps working on whatever is in the house. Then sometimes he doesn’t eat much dinner. Most of the time he still eats a good dinner though. He has a teenager appetite now!
