4 Moms Pack a Lunch

This week, The 4 Moms are sharing the kinds of lunches we pack for our husbands to take to work.

And here is where I confess to you that I have never in my life packed a lunch for my husband, or anyone else's husband for that matter, to take to work.

I know. It's sad.

He has had to spend over 19 years going to work every day and eating a free lunch in the country club dining room with all the big wigs who hang out at the golf course while I eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches standing at the kitchen sink.

Not that I have been jealous of those every day gourmet dining experiences... or anything.

It's just that since he has had a wonderful lunch provided for him every day, I have never needed to do that, and now that he is working out of town, he is pretty much on his own for lunch.

Soooo... You can review this picnic linky for packable lunch ideas or this lunch menu linky.

Otherwise, I'm no good on this one, friends. I've got nothing. Nada. The big zero.

But don't worry! The other moms are going to have some great tips for packing your husband a lunch!

Check them out:

PLUS you can link up your lunch box ideas, too! Here's how:

1. You must link to a specific relevant post on your blog.
2. Your post must include a link to at least one of the 4 Moms.
3. Your blog post must be completely family friendly.

If your link is deleted, you probably didn't follow one of the rules above. Please feel free to add your link again once you have fixed the problem. If you don't know why your link was deleted, please ask.

  1. I’m linking up to share my Slow Cooker Beans that I make for my husband’s lunch. They are more filling than a sandwich, and far less expensive to make. :)

  2. Ha, ha. I’ve never packed a lunch for my husband either. He is, to put it mildly a “food snob,” a great cook and VERY particular. If I ever tried to make him a lunch, he would be in the kitchen in seconds adding various herbs and spices and cooking up sauces then, eventually Shooing me out. Not that I’m complaining either of course :) (He makes us great dinners sometimes), but it does go both ways, if he were ever to try to pack me a lunch I would be waving my arms impatiently screaming” “Oh, for the love of Pete, you do NOT need to marinate the peanut butter, just spread it on the bread!” or some such something or other.
We have reasoned that, for the sake of our marriage, lunch-packing autonomy is crucial 😉

  3. I have linked to all 4 sites. I appreciate the chance to link up with you all once again.

  4. Hi Smockity!
I enjoyed this post on lunches. And, it got me thinking… would the 4 moms post on how to keep kids out of the food during the school day? mine are old enough that as soon as I get a call or some type of distraction they are eating again! I have homeschooled for 20 years and have always have a form of this problem!
