Raised Bed Gardening

We have lots of green sprouts shooting up in our raised bed garden!

It is amazing to watch the progress of the growing plants in just the span of one day.

The morning started out cloudy and this little guy was just beginning to sleepily peek his head out of the soil for the first time.

And here is the same fellow later in the day, after the sun came out!

Amazing what time and a little sunshine can do.

How does YOUR garden grow?

  1. That is so great! What are you growing?

  2. My garden is still buried under about a foot of snow, but I’ve purchased seeds already! We can’t plant outside until around June 1st where we live, but I try and start them inside sooner. Love seeing your growing green things :-)

  3. Oh, they’re amazing. I just posted yesterday about some our beginning to sow seed (indoor). I love watching them grow – it never ceases to amaze me how everything in the creation has been made to be beautiful and awesome and useful and…and…and. What a Creator we have!

And that is amazing – in one day. What are you growing?

We sowed cauliflower, brocolli and leek seeds yesterday. I can’t wait to get out into the plot, but we’ll have to wait some time yet for warmer (hopefully!) weather. On the Isle of Lewis here, our constant battle is with wind…

  4. We are anticipating seeing sprouts this week…very exciting stuff!

    Great pictures!

  5. Not growing yet, but we planted some seeds indoors yesterday, and plan to plant potatoes & onions in the next 2 days outside. Can’t wait to see sprouts!

  6. We currently have peas, brussels sprouts, carrots, and romaine lettuce in the garden. We’re going to harvest a head of lettuce for dinner tonight, actually. :-) But nothing else can go out until about April 20th.

  7. Amy Clark says:

Why don’t you just rub it in. We’re getting another 2-4″ of snow again tonight. :)

Really, I’m glad your garden is doing well. Hopefully I’ll be planting a few more weeks!
