Organizing With a Label Maker

My team of experts is at it again, showing you how to "Put Your House in Order". Check out how each of my friends helps you with different areas of your house.

I would like to show you how my children helped me get organized with a label maker.

Before I show you the pictures of what my 9 and 11 year old daughters did, remember that when children are helping, it is important to accept their best efforts without criticizing or reworking what they have done.

There are some things that I would have done differently, but it is worth overlooking the odd pairings if this will save me time and keep things organized.

My daughters enjoyed doing this and they were helping me out by knocking out a couple of items on my Spring Cleaning Chores List.

They used a label maker to organize my bathroom drawers, medicine cabinet, and pantry shelves.

Now I am not the only one who can put groceries, medicine, or toiletries away where they belong!

(Hey Hon, Could you pick up some more green chilies next time you go shopping? Thanks!)

  1. Nice! This is a great idea! Now that my kids can read – it would help them get stuff in the right place! :-) We need all the help we can get. lol!

  2. Great job! Now I want a label maker!

  3. I LOVE my label maker! We just got new labels [we were out for a few weeks waiting on money] and I am so excited to use it again! I have all kinds of things that need labels. And I do love other people being able to put stuff away.

  4. I’m not sure how I found you but I love your cute name and you have a very full blog!

My husband has a label maker that I think I had better start using!

  5. Oooh, I think I need a label maker.
And an 11 year old daughter would be handy too.
