Hand Held Water Misting Fans Work For Me

Do you know what the temperature was where I live deep in the heart of Texas today? It was hotter'nblueblazes.9 degrees. Really. That's what it said on the giant thermometer at the pool. I'm pretty sure it was some kind of record.

Fortunately, I had this little handy dandy water misting fan with me so I didn't melt into a big puddle of Smockity right there under the cabana.

Deluxe Battery-Operated Handheld Water-Misting Fan

I used it to spritz the baby and then I hung it on the stroller so it would blow on her sweaty little head and keep her at least moderately cool.  I'll definitely be taking it to the Fourth of July parade and to Six Flags with us when we go later in the summer.

I highly recommend one of these beauties if you are going to be out in the heat for any length of time. It sure made fun in the (scorching hot) sun Work For Me!

  1. Sigh, too bad it doesn’t work down here on the coast at near 100% humidity! Just makes us stickier.

  2. Oooh I’m freezing away in Scotland, we’ve not had a great start to the summer, I can only ever *dream* of using one of these lol!!!

  3. I’m in West Texas and it was only 103 here yesterday. It’s quite dry here, too, but I’m pregnant and it feels hot to me. What works for me is staying inside my air conditioned home or car! Seriously, I get out in the mornings to walk while my kids are at swim team, but I stay in after about 9:30. It’s just too hot! I’m always amazed when I think about pioneer women who braved the heat in all their layers! And didn’t have AC! They were real women!

  4. These would be perfect! It has been scorching hot lately. I don’t even want to attempt to go outside…. Ugh!
