Date Night With Mom

Li'l Smockity #4 recently had her chance at date night with Mom.

She chose a Chinese buffet.

Notice her dining choices. Vanilla pudding. Chocolate pudding. Vanilla/chocolate pudding swirl. And an ice cream cone. We're all about making healthy choices here in Smockityville.

After dinner, we went to a "paint your own pottery" shop where she picked out a piggy bank to paint.

An artist takes her work very seriously.

A few days later, the pottery store called to tell us the piggy bank was ready for pick up.

We had a fabulous time and she loves having her piggy to remind her of our special night.

What a great way to make your kids feel special. I hope to do this with the boys when they get older.

  2. How fun! I went out with each of my girls at different times this week because it was 'needed.' How often to you go out with yours?

  3. Love those pottery places! :) It looks like she had a really great time. :)

  4. I will be taking my 11 year old son out on Monday, thanks to you! He has been agonizing for days about his choice of restaurant but I think he has settled on Pizza Hut. Sounds good to me! He kept asking me where I would like to go, but I refused to give any clues. the next two already know they want to go to Burger King. (they have a play area)

    Thanks for the inspiration!
